HKS Intercooler Core Only - Honda Civic Type R FK8

The Honda Civic Type R with K20Ci Turbo engine achieves 320hp with 2.0 with boost pressure exceeding 150kpa. The engine intake temperature rises to nearly 90 degrees celcius, showing the stock intercooler cooling capacity is insufficient.

The HKS intercooler uses a larger size intercooler core to maintain cooling performance. the newly designed 100mm wide core allows approximately 200% more surface area when compared to stock.

The stock intercooler piping layout has a sharp bent stopping the intake air flowing smoothly and causes boost pressure drop. The HKS intercooler integrates the inlet tank of the intercooler and pipe to allow smoother air flow and reduced air intake losses.

Stock Core Size: 680mm, 143mm x 64mm

Note* 13001-AH005 is for the core only. You will need to buy HKS 13002-AH001 intercooler piping kit as this intercooler does NOT fit factory piping. If you do not have the piping kit yet and would like to have the full kit, you will be saving some money by ordering 13001-AH004.
